My First Audiobook Rejection (And Why I Celebrated It)

THE NARRATOR’S NOOK · NARRATION DIARY

Of course, a yes would have been wonderful. But receiving that first no meant I had actually taken the leap: I recorded an audition, submitted my work, and put my voice out there.

I’m learning that becoming an audiobook narrator means practicing, experimenting, auditioning, and sometimes hearing no. This is a real milestone, and I’m proud to have reached it.

Here’s to the next audition, the next lesson, and eventually that first yes. 🎙️
