After the emotional intensity and action of the previous books, A Court of Frost and Starlight was a noticeable change of pace.
It wasn’t as fast-moving as some of the others in the series, but I still enjoyed it. Rather than focusing on constant action, this story felt like an important piece of the larger journey.
Sometimes a story needs those quieter moments to develop its characters, explore their relationships, and prepare us for what’s coming next.
It may not have been the most exciting installment so far, but I appreciated what it contributed to the overall storyline. I enjoyed these quieter moments, even as I found myself eager to get back to the bigger story.
A gentler chapter in a much bigger story, and one I’m glad I didn’t skip.
