FROM THE READING CORNER · A TAYLOREADS BOOK REVIEW
Book: Beyond the Black Door · Author: A. M. Strickland
A little note from my reading chair
Some books take a while to pull you in. Beyond the Black Door was not one of them. I finished it in two afternoons — with a toddler in the mix — which should tell you just how difficult it was to put down.
What stayed with me most wasn’t just one twist or moment. It was the whole experience: the world, the magic, the relationships, and the thread of self-discovery woven through it all.
I love a story that invites me somewhere unfamiliar and then makes me reluctant to leave. This one gave me that feeling. I wanted to keep exploring, keep understanding the people in it, and keep finding out what came next.
My reading-room verdict: Enchanting, absorbing, and perfect for when you’re craving a story you can truly disappear into.
