The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo — Glamour, Secrets, and So Much to Unpack

FROM THE READING CORNER · A TAYLOREADS BOOK REVIEW

Book: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo · Author: Taylor Jenkins Reid

A little note from my reading chair

I really enjoyed The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo — so much that when I finished, I genuinely didn’t know where to begin talking about it. There was just so much to say.

At first glance, it’s easy to get swept up in the glamour and intrigue. But what kept me thinking was everything underneath: identity, ambition, love, sacrifice, and the complicated choices people make while trying to build a life on their own terms.

I don’t think this is the kind of story that fits neatly into a simple ‘loved it’ or ‘didn’t love it’ review. It’s the kind that makes you want to sit with another reader and talk through the people, the decisions, and the feelings it leaves behind.

My reading-room verdict: A memorable, conversation-starting read. I’d especially love to know which part stayed with you after the final page.
